Paid Survey Sites

This is my list of survey websites on the net. The only sites I have listed here are sites that have already given me some sort of compensation.

Before I get to the list, here are some tips to help you get started:

Get a separate email account just for surveys. It's an easier way to organize things. Get a free email account from Google or Yahoo! and use it just for the surveys.

Add the sites you sign up with to your email recipient list. By doing this you will make sure that those surveys don't get sent to the spam folder.

Get a free Paypal account. A lot of survey sites can pay you through Paypal. It's a lot quicker than waiting for a check in the mail.

Keep track of all of the surveys you take. Make sure you make a note each time you complete a survey to make sure you get compensated for it. Keep track of the date the survey was taken, the time, who the survey was for and what it was about. This way if someone says you never took the survey you have proof.

Keep track of payments you receive. It's good to keep a log of the compensation you have received. It's nice to see how much you're actually getting paid from all of this too.

Visit each survey site daily. Not only should you check your email for survey invitations you should log into your accounts on the survey sites you signed up with. Sometimes you may find that a survey is available and hasn't been emailed to you.

Now on to the list of Survey Sites:

And that's it for now. I will add more if I feel that they are worthy. I know of a ton of survey sites but most of them aren't really worth it. If there is an interest I can post a list with all of them and you can try them out for yourself. Let me know in the comments!!

Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research is a really good one. They have recently changed their payment option though. Now you get $3 per survey and entered into a sweepstakes to win cash. The problem with Pinecone Research is that you need to find a banner online somewhere to sign up. Occasionally they will tell members that they can give out invites to the program. If you would like me to send you an invite next time this is allowed please comment below and I'll put you on my list! :-)

You can still visit the Pinecone website here to see what it's all about.

Here's what it says in their FAQ about signing up:

Do you recruit new members through your website or take referrals?
Presently, we do not recruit new members through our website or take unsolicited referrals. However, we will be posting recruitment opportunities through banner ads on various websites from time to time throughout the year. If you see one of these ads, please feel free to sign up with us.
Where can I find the PineCone banner ads?
Unfortunately, there is no one site that I disclose to you। The banner ad placement is not fixed over the life of the campaign. The web sites that our banner ads may appear on are constantly changing during the course of the campaign.

I'll let everyone know in another post if I find out any info about invites. Thanks for Reading! Please leave any comments below!

Welcome to Excess Bux!

Welcome to Excess Bux!

In this blog we will go over some ways to make a little extra money online. Now most of these things are not a reason to quit your job so don't expect to become rich over this. You may however make enough to cover your internet bill each month! That's definitely a plus!

I will list real sites that pay you to do surveys, a few mystery shopper sites, and some freelance websites where you can actually make money if you have training in certain things. I will also tell you the best ways to avoid scams and some links to websites that may actually help you find real online employment.

Survey Sites - There are some survey sites that actually will pay you to complete surveys. Some pay actual cash and others will give you points to redeem for gift certificates and or other things. I am only going to tell you about the ones that I have been using and have actually gotten something from. I am not going to list the fake sites that make you fill out offers and give credit card information. The number one rule: You shouldn't ever have to pay something for a legitimate job.

Freelance Work - There are websites that offer freelance jobs that are usually work from home opportunities. The only thing is that most of the work is for technology professionals. If you know programming, web development, or some type of web or graphic design there is a lot of work available. There aren't usually many data entry or basic office bids available. Some of these sites charge fees to create a premium profile but I wouldn't say that is paying for a job. You are paying to upgrade your profile, prove your skills and get more publicity. It is only a good idea if you actually think you're going to make money and you have the skills needed for a lot of the listed projects.

Mystery Shopping - This can be fun! I only know of a few sites that have actually given me assignments so that's all I'm going to list. There are also a lot of scams dealing with this. Do NOT pay money to a site that tells you they will make you a mystery shopper! It's usually a scam. When I have done shopping in the past I did have to go to wherever they send me and buy something with my own money. You get receipts and turn them in and get reimbursed for what you bought plus an incentive usually $5 - $20 depending on what it's for. For example, a fast food restaurant - I would go in and buy whatever I'm told to purchase and make note of the surroundings and the customer service. Sometimes you have to check out the bathroom and rate it's cleanliness also. Make sure you get receipts for all of your purchases. After you are all done with the shop you go home and fill out a report. You write about your experience in the restaurant and answer some questions. Print your report, attach any receipts for reimbursement and send them in to the mystery shopping company. They'll reimburse the purchase price of the food and pay you a shop fee. It's pretty simple and you get free food!

Other Things - There are other programs that really don't fall into any of these categories! Some don't really pay you but you get things for shopping or get free things to try. I will list things like this only if I feel that they are worth mentioning.

Thanks for visiting!
